Epidemiology

The third-year research project will fulfill part of the requirements of The Department of Family and Community Medicine's Family Medicine Clerkship and the Epidemiology course. This mandatory component has been assigned 25% of your final grade in the Family Medicine Clerkship, please review Objective 6 in your Clerkship Manual. The project will also account for your final grade in the Epidemiology course. For more details about grading please see Grading and Awards.

The objective of this project is to develop an understanding of research while utilizing the supervision and support of faculty from the Department of Family and Community Medicine and Department of Internal Medicine. Furthermore, the project is designed to give you an opportunity, which you previously may not have had, to investigate a topic of interest. It is hoped this early exposure to research will encourage you to undertake research projects during your residency and in your future practice.
