H/P Write-Ups
Purpose
To provide opportunity for you to organize on paper a complete history and physical, generate and think your way through a problem list based differential diagnosis, which will then enable you to make an assessment with a subsequent logical plan. These write-ups are essential building blocks in your development as a physician who is capable of collecting a pertinent history, performing an appropriate exam and presenting a patient verbally in an organized, concise manner. They will also strengthen your abilities to “think on your feet,” which is required to develop an accurate assessment and a plan.
Requirement
6 write-ups (3 for ROME students) turned in to Maxine or Dr. Connell within 48 hours of initial patient contact. All must be completed by the end of the 6th week. Worth 10% of your final grade.
