The Office of Medical Education is committed to educating and preparing North Dakota residents to become leading physicians for service to the people of North Dakota and the nation. As part of this commitment, the Office of Medical Education continually examines our school’s medical program for its areas of strength and areas that may be improved. Because gaining the insight of our students is critical to this process, we regularly gather their feedback over the course of their professional education.
During the first two years of the medical program this feedback is collected through the use of online evaluation instruments, which address such areas as lectures, facilitators (those faculty members guiding the students’ patient-centered learning [PCL] small group discussions), and the students’ block (the eight-week segments that comprise a half semester) experiences.
During the third year of the program the students continue to evaluate the quality of their education by evaluating their clerkship experiences and the preceptor physicians that supervise their clinical training. Similarly, students evaluate the quality of their fourth year education by evaluating each of their elective rotations.
Examples of some of these evaluation forms can be seen by clicking on the following links at the right.
