Assessment

The faculty directly involved with the delivery of the content in any given block assist the Director of Assessment with the writing, delivery and grading of assessment components that students must successfully complete at the end of the each four 10-week blocks in Year 01 (Blocks 1-4) and each of the four 10-week blocks in Year 02 (Blocks 5-8).

Assessment components are designed by the case exam design team that is composed of the Block Director, Clinical Sciences Director(s), and other key faculty who play key roles in delivery of the block content.  Multiple choice items are written and selected by basic and clinical science faculty who deliver block content.  The clinical skills examination is designed by the clinical science director(s) to reflect specific content delivered during any given block as it relates to the doctor-patient encounter.
