Interview Procedure

Personal interviews for selected candidates are granted once initial required materials have been received and reviewed. Unfortunately, we are not able to interview all of the candidates who would like to see our program.

A personal interview is required for all applicants being considered for acceptance into the program. This allows for an opportunity to meet individually with the Program Director, faculty, and some of the residents. A resident host will bring you out for dinner, give you a tour of the hospital and clinic, and acquaint you with the Center for Family Medicine in Minot, hospital facilities, and community. You will have an opportunity to participate in your interview day’s didactic programming during the provided lunch. These meetings are intended to allow questions and expectations to be addressed in a relaxed manner. Your spouse or significant other is certainly welcome and encouraged to participate in the interview. We do ask that you inform the residency coordinator of your intention to bring your significant other, so that arrangements can be made to accommodate them.

Interviews are conducted October 17 through January 31 on Mondays. You will be contacted by the residency coordinator if you are invited for an interview and arrangements will be made at that time.

First year applicants are accepted through the National Resident Match Program.
