Third-year Medical Student Clinical Research Project (2011-2012)
MED 8101. Clinical Epidemiology. 2 credits
The third-year research project is directed by the Department of Family and Community Medicine . The objective of this project is to develop an understanding of clinical research by accomplishing the following:
- Identify a topic that has a personal interest and curiosity.
- Complete a literature search using available databases such as Pubmed, Cochrane, or InfoPOEMs/Retriever.
- Develop a research question(s) which is limited in focus, but adequately addresses your topic.
- Conduct a chart review or analyze a secondary dataset based on the research question(s).
- Use appropriate analysis to answer the research question(s).
- Complete a well written project report and present the findings.
