Application
Process for the t-MOT
The transitional Masters of Occupational Therapy
Program (t-MOT) is offered completely online.
Prior to applying for the program, please familiarize
yourself with the admission information
and curriculum. Note that the t-MOT
courses are the same as our current master’s
of occupational therapy program (as opposed to an
advanced master’s degree in occupational therapy).
APPLICATIONS ARE DUE APRIL 15, 2007
How do I apply to the t-MOT program?
Complete steps 1 through 4 to submit an application:
Graduate School Application
1. Download and complete the Application
for Admission to the Graduate School. The website with
information on applying to the graduate school is
http://www.und.edu/dept/grad/gradapp.html.
Additional Application Material
2. Download, complete, and submit the
t-MOT Graduate
Student Information Form. Include a copy
of your current Occupational Therapy State License. It
is important that we receive a current email address to
facilitate communication necessary for admission. Please
notify the department of email changes to prevent disruption
to the admissions process.
3. Request official transcripts of your
OT coursework and OT degree from your degree-granting
institution (ex., University of North Dakota). Mail transcripts
directly to the Department of Occupational Therapy c/o
the t-MOT Graduate Director (see mailing address above).
Your cumulative undergraduate GPA for OT coursework must
be at a minimum of 2.75.
4. Write and submit a personal statement,
approximately 2 pages in length, summarizing your goals
for obtaining the MOT degree.
What happens next?
- Applications to the t-MOT program will be processed
in the order they are received.
- Once the t-MOT admissions committee determines fulfillment
of the admissions requirements, the T-MOT Graduate Director
will notify you of acceptance to the program.
- Following acceptance to the t-MOT program and UND graduate
school, an initial plan of study for completion of the
t-MOT program will be developed and you will be enrolled
in courses.
- Instructions to access your University email account,
to access Campus Connections (registration, financial
information, grades) and for BlackBoard (the online instructional
software program used in the program) will be provided
to the student. It will be important that you regularly
check your email account as this will be the primary method
of communication with you and will also provide access
to library resources at the University.
