Worksite Health Promotion
As much as 70% of our nation's medical costs are related to treating individuals with chronic
diseases that occur largely because of lifestyle behaviors such as smoking, poor diet, lack
of physical activity, excessive alcohol use, and stress. Increasingly more worksites have
started health promotion programs because the evidence is clear: comprehensive worksite health programs
lead to improved employee health and satisfaction and reduce healthcare costs.
As part of the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, CHPPR's doctoral-level health professionals
specialize in serving the health and wellness needs of businesses in North Dakota and the surrounding region. CHPPR's worksite health programs and
services are scientifically based and proven effective for improving employee health and
decreasing health-related costs. Each comprehensive wellness program is tailored to fit
the needs of an individual organization.
