Director and Professor of Clinical Neuroscience
Dr. Vogeltanz-Holm has led the way in designing, implementing, and evaluating CHPPR’s
various community projects aimed at improving the health behaviors of North Dakota children
and adults in school, clinic, and worksite settings. In addition to CHPPR's research and
service activities, Dr. Vogeltanz-Holm and her colleagues educate and advise students,
health care providers, and policy makers in health promotion and disease prevention
strategies. Dr. Vogeltanz-Holm received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the
University of Maine in 1993 and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University
of Mississippi Medical School and the Jackson Department of Veterans Administration Hospital.
She has held a faculty appointment at UND since 1993, in the Department of Psychology until 2002
and in the Department of Clinical Neuroscience in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences from
2003-current. Dr. Vogeltanz-Holm has served as the President of the North Dakota Psychological
Association and is involved in several local, state, and tribal public health organizations.
